Wednesday’s players have been told they will not be paid on time for September.

Payday is due tomorrow but reports are indicating that the playing staff have been informed this will not be the case.

Non-footballing staff are said to have been told they will receive an initial payment of £1000, “with the outstanding balance to be paid at the earliest opportunity”.

This will be the fifth time in the last seven months that there has been a payday delay.

In addition, if owner Dejphon Chansiri fails to meet tomorrow’s deadline then the club, which is already under five EFL embargoes, is likely to face further action from the league.
