Barry Bannan will be suspended for next Saturday’s home game with Preston.
The skipper looked to be harshly booked at Derby, referee John Busby giving him a yellow card when Bannan dropped the ball to the ground following the award of a throw-in to the home side.
It was Bannan’s fifth caution of the season and signals an automatic one-game ban. However, Di’Shon Bernard will be available after missing the Derby win due to his one-match suspension.
Meanwhile, Wednesday will be ball number 35 in Monday evening’s FA Cup third round draw.
It will be shown live on BBC Two and iPlayer from 7pm, with ties to be played over the weekend of January 11.
