New signing Ali Al-Hamadi could be in the Wednesday squad at home to Bromley tomorrow.

Striker Al-Hamadi, who joined on a season-long loan from Ipswich this week, will be in Henrik Pedersen’s selection considerations as we prepare for our first-ever competitive match against Bromley, in the third game in just over a week at S6.

Those last two fixtures at Hillsborough both resulted in defeats, in the league against Bradford City and then the midweek Carabao Cup exit to Wolves. Neither game brought a goal for the Owls and another sizeable crowd will be hoping for three points to put us on the right road again.

Pedersen said of Al-Hamadi: “We are really really happy for Ali, and I think he has a strong profile. He’s a he’s a strong pressing player. He can run deep and he’s strong in the box.”

Pedersen also delivered some bad news on the injury front, revealing that defender Sil Swinkels could be out for a month with a hamstring injury picked up against Wolves but Harry Gray has not broken his nose after a late clash in the cup tie.
