Wednesday have further added to our attacking options with the signing of young striker Theo Corbeanu on a season-long loan from Wolves.
The 19-year-old began his early career in his native Canada, before having trials at Leicester in 2018 and then being signed by Wolves on a youth contract.
After impressing in their academy set-ups, Corbeanu progressed to be part of the first team matchday squad, making his Premier League debut at Tottenham last season.
He was called up to Canada’s World Cup squad in March, scoring within four minutes of coming on as a sub against Bermuda in his international debut.
Corbeanu was also part of the Canada squad as they reached the semi finals of this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
His arrival at Hillsborough comes days after the season-long loan signing of fellow striker Florian Kamberi from St Gallen. Kamberi failed to get international clearance in time for Sunday’s Carabao Cup defeat to Huddersfield but should be available for the league opener at Charlton on Saturday.
