Henrik Pedersen has called on his players to “leave everything on the pitch” when we tackle Bradford City in front of a near sellout Hillsborough crowd for our first home League One match of the season tomorrow evening.

The much-changed Owls squad have begun the campaign with a Carabao Cup win over Bolton, followed by the 2-1 league triumph at Leyton Orient, and now have the opportunity to chalk up a third successive victory against a Bradford side coming to S6 also boasting a 100 per cent record in their opening two matches.

Pedersen said today; “You have to deserve everything, so to make a top performance tomorrow will be amazing. Every point you have to earn, it is so tough. We will have to leave everything on the pitch tomorrow to get a good result again.

“I’m happy for the two wins but at the same time I know we have so much more to do. We have so many things to do better but from the results in two tough games, it is very, very positive.”

Pedersen will have to make at least one change from the starting line-up at Orient, recent signing Tyler Onyango’s injury early in the match being diagnosed as an ACL which could keep him out for much of the season.

Pedersen said: “I am so sad for Tyler, he has suffered an ACL injury and will be out for a long period. It could be all season, it will be long term for sure and we must wait for the exact timeframe.”

Billy Mitchell and Yan Valery are both expected to be back in the squad after injury for the Bradford game.
