Henrik Pedersen is waiting for further news on a trio of injured players ahead of the Boxing Day derby at home to Hull.
Dominic Iorfa, Max Lowe and Charlie McNeill were all subbed during the second half of the 3-1 defeat at Ipswich on Saturday after taking knocks.
Iorfa went off early in the second half following a clash of heads with Ipswich’s Ivón Azón, Lowe limped off with a calf problem on 65 minutes and McNeill had to leave the field with a rib injury nine minutes from time.
Gabriel Otegbayo also took a kick in the face in the closing stages.
Wednesday weren’t disgraced against highly-placed Ipswich and Jamal Lowe had an effort cleared off the line before Ipswich went ahead with a header from Cedric Kiore on 33 minutes.
The home side came out looking sharper after the break and Jaden Philogene finished off a swift attack on the hour to double their lead.
However, Wednesday continued to plug away and reduced the arrears after 71 minutes when Liam Cooper fired home in a congested penalty area from Barry Bannan’s free kick.
Spurred on by the goal and the tremendous backing from the near 2,000 travelling fans, we caused Ipswich a wobble or two for the next few minutes.
However, a late third goal from Jack Clarke, aided by hesitant defending from Otegbayo, made the points safe for Ipswich.
Pedersen said afterwards: “Today, again, we saw the culture in the team.
“We saw how hard the players are working individually, how hard we are working as a team and this connection in the team.
“It’s a difficult place to play but we keep on having this mentality and it makes me really proud.
“I think the general first half was very equal and then at the beginning of the second half, we got challenged.
“We went 2-0 down and then how we worked ourselves back again in the game, and how we finalised the game, it’s the biggest respect for our boys.
“We spoke about the tactics before the game, but a tactic without culture is nothing. The culture is the most important thing.”
