Pierce Charles is fit to return to the Wednesday side for Saturday’s match at Derby.

Henrik Pedersen has confirmed that the keeper is set to feature against the Rams after a lengthy lay-off with his second shoulder injury of the season. That also means emergency loan goalie Seny Dieng will return to parent club, Middlesbrough.

Pedersen said today: “Pierce has trained well with no issues and he will be available for Derby.

“It’s a few weeks since his last game but there are no risks, and he is fine to play.”

Jaden Heskey could also be in the squad at Derby after missing last weekend’s home game against Southampton through injury.

Wednesday fans continue their great backing of the team as we have sold out our 3,200 ticket allocation.
