Wednesday will be looking to strengthen our position near the top of the table when we return to League One action at Huddersfield tomorrow.

The international break means it is three weeks since our last fixture in the division. That was a disappointing 0-0 home draw with Stockport and, with some other clubs continuing to play league games in the meantime, we have slipped to fourth place.

Tomorrow is likely to be a tough test against third-placed Huddersfield who are now one point and one spot ahead of us in the table.

Plymouth, who kick off tomorrow lunchtime at home to AFC Wimbledon, head the table on 16 points with second-placed Bradford behind them only on goal difference and hosting Leyton Orient.

Kieran Morrison and Harry Gray could both go straight into the Wednesday starting line-up tomorrow after successful international showings for Northern Ireland and England under-19s respectively.

Henrik Pedersen also indicated at today’s pre-match press conference that Di’Shon Bernard is available for the squad tomorrow but there are doubts over the fitness of Ricardo Santos.

On the match itself, Pedersen said: “Huddersfield are a strong team, we want to go there and give a top performance, top intensity and play our football.

“It will be a tough fight and the basics will be a big thing tomorrow. Our culture has been strong, our basic level has been high and the boys know we can find a way to win.”
